Use of Layers
AutoCAD alows the use of numerous layers in any drawing. This means that it is possible to record each class of information on a seperate layer which can subsequently be turned on or off allowing the super-imposition of information.
However this is a complex process and in order to simplify it , it was necessary to customise the menu that controls the programme.
Naming the layers correctly is the key to a correct and easy administration of the layers and it is necessary if the macros that will be run by the menu are to find the appropriate layers and turn them on and off in the right order.
